About Us
Founded in 2009, Maryland Energy and Sensor Technologies, LLC. (MEST) focuses on developing functional materials and system integration for energy applications. In 2011, MEST became the exclusive licensee for the thermoelastic cooling technology through University of Maryland. Recently, The Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) rated thermoelastic cooling as the most promising technology for energy savings and RD&D opportunities for non-vapor-compression HVAC Technology (For Full Report Click here)
MEST is dedicated to the development of the thermoelastic cooling technology for active and passive thermal management systems. The technology has the potential to revolutionize cooling and refrigeration industries. The IP portfolio of MEST includes the U.S. Patent 10119059B2 (the recently awarded thermoelastic cooling patent).
MEST is also working on artificial intelligence (AI) approaches to develop advanced functional materials.
